Volunteer Voices

Here's what some of our regular volunteers have to say about volunteering at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin:

volunteer "The staff and other volunteers I have met and become friends with are outstanding. The work is very rewarding – I feel that I am making at least a small difference during this difficult time. And an additional plus – it's great exercise – I've dropped ten pounds!"

John, Milwaukee Volunteer

volunteer "It really makes a difference when you feel connected to what you plan on helping with. It's great to get nutritious foods  out to people in need that will help them make a complete meal.  When I saw the Appleton food bank start to be built,  it appealed to me as a place where I can go and really be productive."

volunteer "Watching some of the long-term volunteers who put in daily effort into their volunteer activities are inspirational in keeping going. Volunteers like Mike and Abbie pitch in daily to help the various pantries that count on Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin to supply food to those in need. I volunteer my time, but I get more back in return. Helping out has been an easy decision."

Scott, Milwaukee Volunteer

volunteer "I like to know that I'm part of the solution. Volunteering helps my mind, body, and soul, keeps me strong and stimulated, and makes me feel good."

Kathy, Appleton Volunteer
